President
Brian Flynn
Brian earned an engineering degree from New York Maritime College. He acquired experience working in highly regulated industries during an extensive career overhauling, refueling, and designing U.S. Naval nuclear submarines. Brian founded Atlantic Technical Systems, Inc. in 1999 and has since provided technical services, products and guidance to the highly regulated pharmaceutical, biotech, semiconductor and micro-electronic industries. His professionalism, commitment to excellence, customer service and superior management strategies are ideal qualities to lead the team at Atlantic Test Labs.
Business Development Manager
Devona Austin
Among the first 100 cannabis industry employees in Maryland, Devona brings experience, relationships and a unique understanding of this quickly evolving market. A graduate of University of Maryland’s Individual Studies Program, Devona completed her thesis on the future of the Maryland Cannabis Industry and launched her career in the process. She was employee number one of Grassroots Cannabis Maryland. As part of the company’s first foray into cultivating cannabis, Devona learned every aspect of the business, including all phases of propagation and compliance. She progressed to head up marketing and outreach, leading the opening of dispensaries across Maryland and Pennsylvania. Beyond operations, Devona built local markets by educating groups large and small, from hospitals and hospices to cancer centers and healthcare professionals.


Laboratory Director
Scott Robertson, MSc.
Scott brings an extensive lab background to ATL, with over 20 years in the field. He holds a Masters degree from University of Utah. Scott has worked with pharmaceutical and medical device companies with experience in analytical chemistry, wet chemistry instrumentation, across a range of highly regulated environments. At ATL, Scott oversees day-to-day lab operations, writing test methods, Standard Operating Procedures, method validations and verifications. From teaching undergraduate students to working for small start-ups as well as larger pharmaceutical companies, Scott brings a range of talent and experience to help lead ATL.
Associate Laboratory Director
Amanda Horodyski
Amanda is a University of Maryland graduate with a B.S. in Biology. She brings specialized lab techniques and experience ideal for ATL. On a daily basis, Amanda handles Microbial identification , RT-qPCR and mycotoxin testing, QC and growth promote all media to ensure quality and sterility, all while adhering to strict test protocols, SOPs, USP and cGMP practices.
